Croatia wishes to promote the unity of EU member states and what connects them, while all declarations that do not contribute to unity bring unrest among them, Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic-Radman said in Luxembourg on Tuesday.
He was commenting on a declaration signed by 13 member states which condemns Hungary over a law discriminating against the LGBTIQ community and calls on the European Commission to utilise every means at its disposal to ensure respect for European legislation.
The declaration was signed at Belgium’s initiative by the foreign or European ministers of Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Latvia.
“There are institutions, there is a need for dialogue, and we should show willingness to listen and to see. That’s our Croatian stand. Our stand is always assertive. We wish to see unity, we wish to see all those forms that connect the member states and not those that differentiate them,” said Grlic-Radman.
