Nearly 4.5 million people have tested positive in the entire area of the Western Balkans, more than 64,000 people have died, and the average vaccination rate is about 40 percent, which is among the worst statistics in Europe - and Bosnia has the lowest vaccination rate within that group.
Although the vaccination rate in Slovenia reached 57.5 percent and in Croatia 54.4, these are still among the lowest percentages in the European Union, where on average 70 percent were vaccinated, and in some countries more than 80 percent of the population.
Serbia achieved a vaccination rate of 46.9 percent, and Montenegro of 44.6 percent of the population. North Macedonia vaccinated 39.6 percent of its population and Albania 39.1 percent.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is at the bottom of the list, not only in the Western Balkans but in all of Europe, with only 25.7 percent of its population vaccinated.
