Germany’s Deputy Ambassador to Bosnia, Petra Kochendorfer, handed over 36,480 rapid coronavirus tests worth a total of 151,000 euros to Bosnia's Civil Affairs Ministry health department official, Snjezana Brckalo, in Sarajevo on Thursday.

“Coronavirus as a global pandemic does not care about borders. Our response to this threat must therefore transcend borders, carried by the idea of solidarity between countries and peoples. That is why Germany wants to help quickly during this difficult time with as many rapid tests as possible,” Kochendörfer said.

The Ministry and health institutions in Bosnia’s both semi-autonomous entities will now distribute the tests to citizens throughout the country.

“This donation represents an effective response to the current corona crisis and will contribute to increasing the healing rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Brckalo said, thanking Germany for the donation.
