Coronavirus: 39 deaths, 1,620 newly infected in Serbia

Over the last 24 hours, 39 patients died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 14,586 tested, 1,620 were infected with the coronavirus in Serbia, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

To date, COVID-19 has officially claimed 12,075 lives in the country. The mortality rate is 0.95 percent.

Currently, 3,511 people are in hospitals, of whom 197 are on ventilators.

Since the epidemic outbreak in March 2020, 6,941,684 people have been tested, and 1,270,407 have been confirmed positive for the coronavirus.
