The value of Croatian exports in the first nine months of 2021 was €15.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 24.6 perecent. At the same time, imports grew by 21.6 percent to €23.1 billion, state agency Hina reported on Thursday, citing data released by the state statistics bureau.

The foreign trade deficit in the first ten months of 2021 was close to €8 billion, and the export-to-import ratio in the first ten months was 65.6%.

Exports to EU member-countries in the first ten months totalled €10.4 billion or 25.8% more than in the same period of 2020 while imports from those countries grew by 16.7% to €17.5 billion. Exports to non-EU countries in the first ten months increased by 22.1% to €4.7 billion and imports from them by 39.9% to €5.5 billion.

The statistics bureau also published revised data on trade in the first nine months of this year, which show that the foreign trade deficit in the first nine months was €7.3 billion, and the export-to-import ratio was 64.8%.

Exports in the first nine months grew by 24.8 percent to €13.3 billion and imports went up by 21.6% to 20.6 billion euros.
