Four members of the national COVID-19 response team, including its head, Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic, were publicly vaccinated against coronavirus on Tuesday, while Health Minister Vili Beros did not receive vaccine since he had acquired immunity having contracted Covid-19 earlier.
At the end of today's regular news conference of the COVID-19 response team, vaccines were administered to Bozinovic, Croatian Public Health Institute head Krunoslav Capak, Assistant Health Minister Vera Katalinic-Jankovic, and the head of Zagreb's Dr Fran Mihaljevic hospital for infectious diseases, Alemka Markotic.

Beros, who previously contracted COVID-19, said that he would not get vaccinated now because he had acquired immunity.
"I absolutely support vaccination and will get vaccinated when my acquired immunity wanes," he said, noting that he would most probably get inoculated in the next three months.
He expressed hope that the COVID-19 vaccine would change the course of the pandemic for the better.
"Demanding times are ahead of us but vaccination and compliance with restrictions are the right way to overcome this major crisis," Beros said.
