Osijek's Advent events voted best in Croatia

According to a survey on Facebook by a portal for mayors in Croatia, the Osijek Advent and Christmas events have been proclaimed the best in Croatia out of 36 cities and eight municipalities participating in the survey, Osijek Mayor Ivan Radic's office said on Thursday.

Voting was conducted from 4 to 12 January and the Osijek Advent Fair received 27,225 likes of the 110,000 in total.

Images of the Osijek Advent events were shared 3,000 times and received more than 6,000 comments. According to the gradonačelnik.hr portal almost 278,000 people participated in the survey.

Mayor Radic added that due to citizens' requests and of those in hospitality the Advent and Christmas Fair in Osijek had been extended, adding that Osijek generated 7% more bed nights in December than in the record year, 2019.
