Former Croatian professional basketball player Toni Kukoc has been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, this Springfield-based institution reported on Sunday.
Kukoc, born in 1968 in Split, was one of the best basketball players in the former Yugoslavia and Croatia.
After being drafted by the NBA’s Chicago Bulls in 1990, Kukoc continued to play in Europe, until finally reporting to the Bulls in 1993. He made his NBA debut on 5 November 1993.
Kukoc currently serves the Bulls as Special Advisor to the President and COO.
