Covid-19 recoveries outnumber new infection cases in Bosnia

Bosnia and Herzegovina has recorded another 208 infections with the novel coronavirus in its two entities, 161 in the Federation and 47 in Republika Srpska, as well as the growing number of those who recovered from the disease caused by the virus – 246 in the last 24 hours only, the healthcare authorities in both semi-autonomous parts confirmed on Tuesday.

According to official statistics provided by the healthcare and crisis management authorities in the two regions, of 14,464 confirmed Covid-19 patients 8,333 have recovered to date.

Since the last report on Monday, the country also reported 15 Covid-19 deaths, bringing the total in the two regions to 432.

The Federation’s healthcare authorities have to date reported 8,770 Covid-19 patients, of which 228 have died and 5,090 recovered.

This region, which covers a little over of the half of Bosnia’s territory, has performed the total of 96,839 lab tests since the epidemic outbreak, 1,454 since the last update.

As for Republika Srpska, the region has performed 388 lab tests in the last 24 hours, 55,356 since the epidemic outbreak. The total of 5,694 patients has been reported in this half of the country.

To this date, 3,243 patients have recovered and 204 died in Republika Srpska.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north, has by Monday reported 243 patients who were positive for the novel coronavirus. To date, 72 have recovered and 15 died.
