The chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Presidency, Zeljko Komsic, and the Bosniak member of the Presidency, Sefik Dzaferovic, on Thursday strongly condemned Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, announcing that their country would do all in its power to help the Ukrainians.
Komsic said that the chargé d’affaires at the Ukrainian embassy in Sarajevo had informed him about the Russian attack at 6 am.
“He officially informed us that the attack on Ukraine had begun and that Ukraine was seeking our continued support. The State of Bosnia and Herzegovina has joined the statement by the EU member states on the situation in Ukraine. We will continue to support Ukraine as much as we can,” Komsic wrote on Facebook.
He was soon joined by Dzaferovic, who wrote: “I strongly condemn the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, joining the reactions from the civilised world on this dark and disturbing day. In my thoughts and prayers I am with the people in the cities across Ukraine who are under brutal attacks by Russian military forces.”
