Croatia and the whole world are dealing with the global COVID-19 pandemic, however, other diseases such as cancer should not be ignored during the fight against coronavirus, Croatian member of the European Parliament Suncana Glavak said in Zagreb on Friday.
Glavak was one of the speakers at the Conference on the Future of Public Health in Croatia and Europe, which took place in the Croatian capital city.
She called for “bringing the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry back to the territory of the European Union so that we will not be dependent on third countries, ” and for more attention to be paid to mental health.
Glavak went on to say that in the European Union all should have the equal health care, the equal access to healthcare services and better-paid doctors.
