Currently, there are about 200 Ukrainian refugees in that town and they are located in local hotels and hostels.

Local tourist workers have already invited Ukrainians fleeing the war in their country to come to Medjugorje.

Upon their arrival in Medjugorje, Ukrainians are tested for coronavirus and registered with the Red Cross branch.

On Sunday, a Mass was said in Ukrainian and the local faithful joined the Ukrainians in praying for peace.
