Prosecutors asks government to allow criminal procedure against labor minister

The State Attorney's Office (DORH) has asked the government to approve a criminal procedure against Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy Minister Josip Aladrovic, Hina learned on Tuesday from sources close to the investigation.

DORH told Hina it had not officially confirmed to any media that it had made such a request nor provided details from the request.

After the arrest of former construction minister Darko Horvat on 19 February, the media reported that the investigation into Horvat by the USKOK anti-corruption office also included Aladrovic and Deputy Prime Minister Boris Milosevic.

According to the media, Aladrovic is suspected of illegal hiring in the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, which he ran before becoming minister.
