Russia beat Croatia to win Davis Cup

In the first match of the finals that took place in Madrid, Andrey Rublev beat Borna Gojo 6-4 7-6(5), and after that Daniil Medvedev claimed the deciding second point by defeating Marin Cilic 7-6(7) 6-2.

Croatia have reached the finals of the Davis tournament four times so far, and its tennis players have won the tournament twice. In 2005, Croatia beat Slovakia 3-2, and in 2018, Croatia clinched the victory over France 3-1 during the tournament in Lille. In 2016, Croatia was defeated by Argentina during the final tournament in Zagreb.
