Bosnia records 233 new Covid-19 cases, nearly 8,000 patients recover

Bosnia and Herzegovina has recorded 233 more Covid-19 patients in its two regions –184 in the Federation (FBiH) and 49 in Republika Srpska (RS), as well as five fatalities, the healthcare authorities said on Sunday.

The FBiH has performed 754 lab tests since the last update and 94,789 since the epidemic outbreak. So far, the region has confirmed 8,536 Covid-19 patients. To date, 4,713 have recovered and 199 died.

As for RS, the region has performed the total of 54,199 lab tests, 281 in the last 24 hours. Of 5,550 patients who tested positive for the coronavirus to this date, 3,124 have recovered and 193 died.

Brcko District, a separate administrative unit in the north of the country, has by Friday noon reported 231 Covid-19 patients. Its healthcare authorities confirmed that 59 patients have recovered and 13 died by the end of the week.

According to official data, the country’s coronavirus total now stands at 14,317. So far, 7,896 patients have recovered and 405 died as a consequence of the novel coronavirus infection.
