A 27-year-old man has been arrested and placed in one month's detention for physically assaulting two men from Vukovar believed to be Serbs, while arrest warrants have been issued for others involved in the attack, Vukovar-Srijem County police said on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old assaulted the two men, aged 36 and 31, outside a hospitality establishment shortly after midnight on Saturday. They sustained light injuries and charges have been pressed against him.
A criminal investigation is under way. According to unofficial information, members of a Croatian football supporters' group were behind the assault.
