The ministry also highlighted the role of the deputy prime minister in charge of national security, Tomo Medved, Security and Intelligence Agency head Daniel Markic, and Military Security and Intelligence Agency head Ivica Kinder.

As in the repatriation of Croatian citizens at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Croatian diplomatic missions and consular offices, together with the Foreign Ministry's Directorate-General for Consular Affairs, have successfully ensured the return of all Croatian citizens to their homes, the ministry said in a press release.
