In the first 11 months of this year 42,805 new passenger vehicles were sold, up 25.8% on the year, including 2,560 in November alone, down 3.6% on the year, according to the Promocija Plus market research agency.
Volkswagen was the best selling make in the first 11 months of this year with 5,613 cars sold, or 13.1% of all cars sold, followed by Škoda with 4,336 cars sold and Opel with 3,515.
The best selling model in the said period was the Opel Corsa with 1,836 cars sold, followed by Skoda Octavia, with 1,725 sold.
Almost 54% of the cars sold in the first 11 months of the year were petrol-powered (23,014), followed by 10,282 diesel cars, 6,560 hybrids, 1,766 gas-powered cars and 1,183 electric cars.
