In 2021, 2.2 million tonnes of corn will be produced in Croatia, down 10.9% on the year, according to the first estimates of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

The average production of corn is 7.6 tonnes per hectare, down from 8.4 tonnes in 2020.

Sugar beet production is also expected to decrease, by 17.6% to 638,000 tonnes at 63.5 tonnes per hectare, down from 74 tonnes last year.

Soy production is expected to drop 4.1% to 255,000 tonnes at 3 tonnes per hectare, down from 3.1 tonnes in 2020.

Sunflower production is expected to be 120,000 tonnes, the same as last year, but at 3 tonnes per hectare, down from 3.1 tonnes in 2020.
