There were 1.58 million people in work in Croatia at the end of October 2021, which is an increase of 0.2% compared with September 2021 and of 2.0% compared with October 2020, according to data from the state statistics bureau (DZS).
The DZS said that 123,445 job-seekers were registered with the Croatian employment bureau (HZZ) at the end of October, up by 3.7% from the previous month.
The registered unemployment rate, which is a ratio of the number of unemployed persons to the total active population, was 7.2% in October, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from September. Compared with October 2020, the number of unemployed persons dropped by 19.9%.
