The stockpiles of finished industrial goods at the end of December rose by 0.3% from the previous month, and declined by 10.2% compared to December 2020, according to data released by the Croatian National Bureau of Statistics (DZS).
Broken down by main industrial groupings, compared with November 2021, stockpiles of capital goods increased 3.8%, durable consumer goods by 3.7%, non-durable consumer goods by 3%, and energy stockpiles went up 2.7%.
On the other hand, stockpiles of intermediate goods decreased by 4.1%.
Contraction y-o-y
The stockpiles of capital goods declined 48.6% compared to December 2020, while the stockpiles of durable consumer goods went down by 15.9%, and the stockpiles of intermediate goods and energy declined by 14.1% each. The stockpiles of non-durable consumer goods went down by 1.3%.
