He said a new wing opened seven months ago had "raised the quality of hospital services" and that everyone "gravitating to this hospital now receive the appropriate healthcare."

Accompanied by several ministers, including Health Minister Vili Beros, Plenkovic said the government would continue to help as much as it could.

The hospital's director, Tomislav Dujmenovic, said this visit confirmed that the hospital was not alone in the reconstruction process, adding that staff were still dealing with the effects of the earthquake as well as COVID.

He thanked all donors and everyone who have helped the hospital in the aftermath of the tremor.
