According to their report, the GDP increased by 9.7 percent in the Q4 2021 year-on-year. In 2020, the coronavirus crisis and lockdowns had heavily impacted Croatia's tourism-dependent economy which shrank by around 8 percent that year. But in 2021 the economy apparently bounced back, posting a 10.4 percent growth.

The strong growth in Q4 2021 was attributed to all components of GDP, including household spending, government spending, exports, as well as investments.
