Croatia's GDP grew 10.4 percent in 2021, the state statistics bureau said in their early estimates released on Friday.
According to their report, the GDP increased by 9.7 percent in the Q4 2021 year-on-year. In 2020, the coronavirus crisis and lockdowns had heavily impacted Croatia’s tourism-dependent economy which shrank by around 8 percent that year. But in 2021 the economy apparently bounced back, posting a 10.4 percent growth.
The strong growth in Q4 2021 was attributed to all components of GDP, including household spending, government spending, exports, as well as investments.
