A Croatian delegation, with officials of the Finance Ministry and the central bank, and led by Finance Minister Zdravko Maric, will take part in the Spring Meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington on April 19-22, the ministry said on Thursday.
The delegation is expected to meet with World Bank officials, including Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, Cyril Muller; Regional Director for Operations in the European Union, Arup Baneri; Chief Economist, Shanta Devarajan; and Executive Director at the Board, Frank Heemskerk.
They will discuss developing the new strategy for Croatia’s cooperation with the World Bank, further activities on preparing and approving of new projects, and talks about ongoing Croatia’s projects with the World Bank.
The delegation will also meet with IMF officials, including Director for the European Department, Poul Mathias Thomsen; Executive Director, Anthony De Lannoy; Deputy Executive Director, Richard Doornbosch; and IMF’s Mission Chief in Croatia, Khaled Sakr. Topics discussed will include the macroeconomic situation in Croatia, and its monetary and fiscal policies.
