Average take-home pay in Zagreb higher by HRK 1,000 than average wage in Croatia

The average take-home pay in the Croatian capital in March 2019 totalled HRK 7,525, according to the city's statistical office, while the average net monthly salary in Croatia for that month was HRK 6,464, according to the national statistical office, making the average monthly salary in Zagreb HRK 1,061 (EUR 143) higher than the national average.

The take-home salary in March in the capital city rose by 35 kuna on the month and by 223 kuna on the year.

In the capital city, the average monthly salary paid in the enterprise sector was HRK 7,431 and in the non-enterprise sector HRK 7,709.

The highest average monthly salary in March was earned in the crude oil and natural gas excavation services, HRK 11,669, whereas the lowest average wage of HRK 4,124 was made in the clothes making sector.
