The traditional Renaissance Festival, which is taking place in the northern Croatian town of Koprivnica from 22 to 25 August, included a walk of costumed participants through the centre of the town on Saturday.
The organisers said today that over 10,000 guests had visited Koprivnica in the first two days of this year's festival. Some of the guests come from Brazil, Great Britain and the US.
The festival revives the skills, customs, music and way of life of different medieval classes, re-enacting the period when Koprivnica was a free royal city.The organisers boast that this event "is the greatest spectacle of live images from the past in this part of Europe, based on historical facts."
