Croatia's October industrial producer prices up down year-on-year

Croatia's industrial producer prices in October 2019 increased by 0.3% from the previous month and dropped by 0.5% compared with October 2018, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS).

The data showed that industrial producer prices had continued to decline for the third month in a row.

Excluding energy prices, industrial producer prices increased by 0.1% month on month and by 0.9% year on year.

On the domestic market, industrial producer prices rose by 0.2% compared with September 2019 and fell by 0.5% compared with October 2018. On the foreign market, industrial producer prices went up by 0.3% month on month and dropped by 0.5% year on year.

Broken down by main industrial groupings, in October 2019, compared with the previous month, energy prices increased the most, by 1%. Prices of durable consumer goods rose by 0.5%, prices of non-durable consumer goods went up by 0.1%, while prices of intermediate goods and capital goods remained unchanged.

The annual decline in industrial producer prices was driven by energy prices, which fell by 5.2% compared with October 2018. The other main industrial groupings recorded annual increases in producer prices. Prices of consumer non-durables rose by 1.3%, prices of intermediate goods by 0.8%, prices of consumer durables by 0.6% and prices of capital goods by 0.3%.
