Slovenia has confirmed 1,784 new cases of COVID-19 and 61 infected people have died in the last 24 hours, Slovenia's government confirmed on Friday, adding that the existing measures would remain in force next week.
The government’s COVID spokesman Jelko Kacin said that 6,853 tests had been conducted in the past 24 hours, confirming 1,784 positive cases, which is a share of 26.3%.
The situation is such that restrictive measures will remain in force for another week, Kacin said.
According to the latest information, the average number of new cases in the past seven days was 1,478, which means that not one condition has been fulfilled that would indicate that restrictive measures should be eased, based on the government’s scale of relaxing measures.
There are currently 1,284 people in hospital treatment while the first step to even consider relaxing restrictions if for that number to be reduced to less than 1,200.
