Coronavirus: Slovenia logs 5,076 new cases, 16 deaths

This was 6,000 cases down from the day before, and the number of new cases is down on the week as well. The seven-day average of daily infections is 9,991 and the 14-day incidence is 8,239 per 100,000 population.

There are 173,691 active cases, including 812 hospitalized Covid patients, including 146 in intensive care units. The total death toll to date has now increased to 6,028.

Also on Wednesday, Prime Minister, Janez Jansa, said he had tested positive via a rapid antigen test.
