About a million coronavirus self-tests have been sold in Croatian pharmacies over the last three months, and sales are continuing to rise, state agency Hina said on Wednesday, citing a senior manager at one of the country's largest drug wholesalers.
Over the past two months, wholesaler Medika alone sold 450,000 of these tests, member of Medika’s managing board, Jakov Radosevic, told Hina.
“The head of the Split-Dalmatia County Pharmacy, Ante Mihanovic, said that on Tuesday alone their pharmacies sold more than 1,100 coronavirus home tests,” Hina added.
Late in May, he said, when the first home tests were available, they sold 73, then 336 in June, 3,196 in July, 6,719 in August, 6,754 in September, 9,877 in October, and 7,392 by yesterday. Mihanovic said the average price of a home test was about 30 kuna (€4) and described their accuracy as “very high.”
