The Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) stated on Saturday that stakeholders in the events industry welcomed the new measures taken by the Culture Ministry to help the event planning sector through the co-funding of costs for COVID-19 antigen testing of visitors.
The ministry in cooperation with the Croatian Music Union (HGU) has decided to allocate five million kuna for the costs of rapid antigen tests for the purpose of planning and holding concerts. Professionals in this industry welcome such measures and reassure the public that they will continue working on business models that preserve health and economic activity, reads the press release issued by the HGK group of creative and cultural industries, led by Tomo in der Muhlen.
The group praises all kinds of help provided to this industry.
“We are committed to working permanently on improving models for organising well-managed events. This is the only recourse,” the press release reads, underscoring the importance of compliance with epidemiological measures.
Under the co-funding schemes, the authorities will cover costs in the amount up to 50 kuna for each antigen test performed by members of the audiences at events.
