More than 100,000 COVID certificates were issued in a week, Croatia's Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic posted on his Facebook profile on Wednesday.
“I thank citizens for their interest… more than 1.7 million people whose data is contained in the relevant registers, have the right to be issued with an EU digital COVID certificate,” Bozinovic wrote on Facebook.
He added that more than 2,000 enquiries by citizens in the user support system had been answered.
“Certificates are checked at border crossings without any difficulties or delays. So far, more than 8,000 EU digital COVID certificates have been validated successfully that were issued in Poland, Czech Republic, Greece, Denmark, Bulgaria, Latvia, and Croatia, which confirms full interoperability between member states.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has called Croatia to present its development, implementation and results of Croatia’s national system to issue digital COVID certificates,” he added.
