An association bringing together parents of premature babies and the Dinamo football fans' club BBB (Bad Blue Boys) on Thursday donated a €22,370 worth of equipment to the neonatal ward of the Vukovar hospital, thus wrapping up its drive of raising funds for neonatal units throughout Croatia.

The association launched this campaign after Zagreb's Petrova Hospital for obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics was severely damaged in the March 2020 earthquake.

Since then, the NGO, supported by the BBB, has raised over 8.5 million kuna (€1.13 million) to procure equipment for neonatal wards in several hospitals across Croatia.

In Vukovar, they delivered a reanimation and warming table used in obstetrics, equipment for hospital phototherapy, and some other utilities necessary in the treatment of preterm babies.

The head of the Vukovar Hospital's pediatrics department, Davor Bandic, thanked them for the donation.

He informed the delegation led by the association's leader, Zeljka Vucko, that so far this year, 415 babies had been born in this hospital, slightly more than in 2020.
