One person was killed and four were injured when a sports plane with a Hungarian registration crashed in a forest south of Kerestinec, a village southwest of Zagreb, the Civil Protection Directorate said on Saturday.

Five passengers were on board the aircraft and they are currently being given help and their transport is being organised, the Directorate said on the platform X.

Civil protection units, police, emergency medical teams, members of the Mountain Rescue Service and firefighters are at the scene of the crash.

The police received the report about the accident at 3.51 pm.
