In the last 24 hours, 775 coronavirus cases have been registered in Slovenia, one-third fewer than a week ago, and the number of hospitalisations is stable, although the situation in hospitals remains difficult and officials call for caution.
In the last 24 hours, 41.7% of the tests have come back positive, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
The average number of daily cases has dropped to 1,772 in the last week and the 14-day incidence to 1,362 per 100,000 inhabitants, while 54.9% of the population has been vaccinated.
There are 28,698 active cases, according to the national public health institute, the first time in over a month that it has fallen below 30,000.
There are 1,050 hospitalised COVID-19 patients, with 265 in intensive care.
The death toll has reached 5,317, including 14 deaths in the last 24 hours.
