Average take-home pay in July €837, up 2.9 pct on the year

The average take-home pay in Croatia in July amounted to 6,206 kuna (€837) which, in real terms, marked a 2.9 percent increase compared to July 2017, the national statistics bureau (DZS) reported on Tuesday.

Compared to June, however, the net monthly pay was down 0.2 percent.

The highest average net wage for those employed in legal entities in July was earned in air transport, where the net wage was some 11,241 kuna (€1,515), whereas the lowest average wage of about 4,000 kuna (€539) was earned by employees providing other personal services.

According to DZS, the median net wage for July amounted to 5,504 kuna (€741.6), meaning that half of those employed were paid less and half were paid more than that amount.

The average gross wage in July amounted to 8,420 kuna (€1,134), up in real terms by 0.1 percent on the month and a 3.6 percent increase on the year.
