Egyptian citizens living in Sarajevo gathered, Saturday, in front of the Egyptian Embassy in Sarajevo, protesting the death of the first democratically elected President of Egypt.

They criticised the current military government in their country carrying signs and posters with Mohamed Morsi's face on and the sign of “Rabia” - a four-finger hand gesture.

The protesters said that this is the way in which they express their solidarity with the Egyptian people but also condemn “the present regime because of their violations of human rights.”

They recalled that more than 550 unjustly imprisoned persons died in Egyptian prisons under unresolved circumstances.

Farid Al-Zayat, the Head of the Egyptian Union in Bosnia, recalled that Mohamed Morsi, the country's first democratically elected President, died earlier this month in circumstances he said were such that one could say he was murdered.

"We gathered here to express our opposition to the regime that kills its people," Zayat said, adding that there are many facts indicating that Morsi was intentional.

Mohamed Morsi was buried several days ago in the capital of Egypt, Cairo.
