Another 14 people tested positive for the coronavirus in Bosnia’s Serb-majority region of Republika Srpska (RS) throughout the past 24 hours, RS Health Minister, Alen Seranic, said at his morning press conference on Friday.
The Republika Srpska University Clinical Centre has, meanwhile, confirmed that an elderly man who was treated there for Covid-19 had passed away.
The head of the Sarajevo University Clinical Centre also told media that nine of the 231 samples tested throughout the night there turned out positive for the virus.
Health authorities in the southeastern town of Gorazde also confirmed that another person there tested positive for the coronavirus.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, some 1,200 people have tested positive for the new coronavirus in Bosnia and Herzegovina as of Friday, including 43 deaths.
