A film screening in Sarajevo's first drive-in cinema filled to capacity a central parking lot Wednesday evening and will host the guests for the next four days.

The response to this project was tremendous, said the organiser.

“Tickets are sold very quickly, the next two films are already sold out and we expect the rest to be sold very soon. Citizens showed a great interest in the drive-in cinema because this is something new and different, which proves we had to do something like this long ago, but better late than never,” said Kenan Muftic, general manager of the Youth Film Festival, the organiser.

American drama 'Skin' by Israeli-born author Guy Nattiv was on the schedule for the opening evening, while the screening of 'Hotel Mumbai' was set for the second evening.

In the days to come, the audience will see 'Captain Phillips' and 'Baby Driver' films.

“I'd like to thank the European Union Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sarajevo Canton Government, Addiko bank and MIBO Communications, who supported us this year. It's a big thing that young people do this and that they enjoy such strong support. We faced a number of barriers with the coronavirus pandemic as the biggest one, but we managed to carry out one costly and demanding project, so I'm glad the audience recognised the importance of this event and that all five screenings will be filled to capacity,” said Music.
