
Three more people died from Covid-19 in Montenegro in the last 24 hours, and 96 have tested positive for coronavirus, the Institute for Public Health in the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica said on Friday.
The death toll since mid-June stood at 33.
A total number of active cases was 1,979 on Friday, while 186 were hospitalised.
Nemanja Radojevic, a doctor from Montenegro Clinical Center, said that 13 patients were in serious condition, one of whom was on a ventilator, and four on “non-invasive oxygen support.”
He added that 17 doctors, 52 nurses and nine non-medical staff were positive for the novel virus.
Podgorica declared the epidemic last Tuesday for the second time after reported its end on June 2.
