Croatia claims first gold medal at Tokyo Olympics

The 23-year-old from the central Croatian town of Knin beat Lauren Williams from Great Britain 25-22 to claim the gold.

Earlier today, Toni Kanaet of Croatia won the Olympic taekwondo silver medal in the men's 80-kg competition, by defeating Nikita Rafalovich of Uzbekistan 24-18.

This is the first men's Olympic medal in taekwondo for Croatia.
