Croatia's PM cancels his attendance at Munich conference due to father's death
Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic cancelled his travel to Munich, where he should have attended the ongoing international security conference, after his father, 74, died in a hospital in Zagreb on Saturday evening from a serious illness.
The Munich conference kicked off on Friday, and PM Plenkovic should have been one of the speakers at a panel discussion on European cohesion, which is taking place on Sunday, featuring several Prime Ministers and ministers from European countries.
Instead of PM Plenković, Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman will address that gathering.
