The BiH prosecutorial authorities coordinated the operation, dubbed "Fast", with Croatia's USKOK anti-corruption office and Ministry of the Interior.

The five suspects who were arrested are all Afghan nationals.

Two of the suspects were arrested in Croatian territory.

Acting in collusion with some other persons, the criminal group had been transferring illegal migrants, mostly from Afghanistan, across Serbia through Bosnia and Herzegovina and into Croatia.

Several dozen illegal migrants were smuggled across the border that way. The investigation in the case lasted for months.
