RegioJet, a private Czech provider of railway and bus passenger transport services, plans to restore a train service from Czechia to Croatia's coastal destinations this summer.

The first train journey for this season is scheduled for 28 May. The starting point is Prague, with stops at Brno, Bratislava, Budapest and Zagreb, and the final destinations are Rijeka and Split.

The same provider will ensure bus transport to coastal destinations in Croatia, Neum in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

The train services will be available three times a week in June and September and on a daily basis during the peak season in July and August.

The trains are expected to have 15 carriages and provide 650 seats.

The Czech company launched these services last year, transporting more than 60,000 passengers between Czechia and Croatia. On average, 90% of its trains’ capacity was occupied on this route.

RegioJet transports 20 million passengers a year, including 11 million in railway transport and 9 million in bus transport.
