Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandrokovic will pay an official visit to Japan starting on Monday at the invitation of House of Representatives Speaker Tadari Oshima, and he will also have an audience with newly installed Emperor Naruhito, parliament said on Sunday.
On Monday, Jandrokovic will meet with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. On Tuesday, he will meet with House of Councillors President Chuichi Date and representatives of the Japanese-Croatian parliamentary friendship group. On Tuesday, Jandrokovic will also be received by Emperor Naruhito.
On Wednesday, he will meet with Foreign Minister Taro Kono and Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Minister Keiichi Ishii.
On Thursday, Jandrokovic will visit Hiroshima where, together with Mayor Kazumi Matsui, he will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony for the victims of the atomic bombing as well as visit the Peace Memorial Park.
Jandrokovic will wrap up the visit by meeting with Kyoto Prefecture Governor Takatoshi Nishiwaki and the city’s mayor.
