Wounded policeman stable after surgery

A policeman who sustained gunshot wounds in a shooting in Zagreb's St. Mark's Square on Monday morning, has undergone several hours of surgery and is not in a life-threatening condition and his vital functions have stabilised, the director of the Sisters of Mercy Hospital said on Monday afternoon.
