The Croatian national postal service HP has suspended deliveries to the United Kingdom until further notice following the discovery of a new, more contagious strain of the coronavirus in that country.

HP said in a press release on Tuesday that all types of transport from continental Europe to the UK have been suspended, including both outgoing and incoming postal deliveries.

HP said that the coronavirus pandemic has affected most postal operators in Europe, hampering the flow of traffic and causing delays.
