Coronavirus: Slovenia confirms first case of Omicron variant

In the past 24 hours, Slovenia has logged 1,712 new coronavirus cases and 11 deaths, the National Public Health Institute said.

There are 21,362 active cases, the seven-day average of new cases is 1,352 a day, while the 14-day incidence per 100,000 population has fallen to 1,013, and there are 817 hospitalised patients, including 235 in intensive care.
