In early December Zagreb will host the first tourist industry business-to-business market focusing on Central Europe, the Central European Tourism Summit (CETS Zagreb), to be held at the Zagreb Fair, and attended by some 400 business buyers from more than 30 countries.
The event will be organised by a Spanish-based company Cent Euro Fairs SL, and supported by tourists boards of Zagreb and Croatia, and sponsored by Croatia Airlines and other local companies, Poslovni Dnevnik daily reported on Tuesday.
“This is the largest such event held to date in Croatia, and aims to attract tourist agencies, tourist organisations, airline companies, and all other tourist industry professionals who are interested in organising programmes at destinations located across Central Europe, including Croatia and its neighbouring countries,” the Zagreb tourist board said.
The main part of the fair will consist of the so-called hosted buyer programme, with some 400 travel procurement professionals from 30 countries who will have the opportunity to meet tourist industry sellers, and event will also include the Central European Tourism Awards ceremony.
Businesses that have confirmed participation in the event will hail from Austria, Canada, France, Hungary, South Korea, Romania, Singapore, China, the United States, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Poland, Scandinavian countries, Slovenia, and Persian Gulf countries.
