A report on the implementation of this year's National Reform Program in the period from May to October was adopted by the government on Thursday.

The main goal of the National Programme, defined by the Andrej Plenkovic cabinet in April, is to boost the national economy’s competitiveness with the projected growth of 2.5 % in 2019.

The document identifies headway made in the fulfillment of the recommendations proposed by the EU Council, reform priorities and also progress made in economic policies as well as measures necessary to accomplish targets under the Europe 2020 Strategy.

As for the May-October 2019 period, Finance Minister Zdravko Maric said that of 100 outlined activities, 22 were performed in the entirety, and the implementation of 78 activities was under way.
